We all are having different missing puzzle pieces.
One is battling with their romantic puzzle pieces, one is battling with adulting puzzle pieces, while the other one is batting with career puzzle pieces. We often wonder when will we find those missing puzzle pieces until it can be done, aren’t we?
I sat on the chair in the corner of my room, listening to For the First Time by The Script while writing this as I thought people are fighting with their own battle whatever it is. People feel pain every single day and are tremendously terrified that they are endlessly pushing through, knowing that maybe they’d be in pieces for something that is out of their control.
Sometimes we’d get to the end of a puzzle but unfortunately, the final piece is missing so we have to experience that survival journey over again. Some things don't work as we want them to, and sometimes it doesn’t even make sense. Maybe you asked for roses, but instead, you got thorns. Maybe you wanted paper, but what you got was torn. You wanted joy, but you got despair. You don't need what you want, but you get what you need. At least that’s what I read times ago when I was scrolling through my medium.
Your heart may be broken, your application mails may be rejected, and your growing up phase may be sucks. You may think it’s the end of your life but actually it’s not. Good things will fall apart just to make space for better things to come together. See? That’s just how our life works. We will feel pain, we will fall, we will feel like a crumpled piece of paper but good things will come right into you at the right time and that’s when you’re gonna think your puzzle is just complete.
My journey has to be different from yours, and your journey might be different as well from your best friend's. Everyone has their own journey, everyone has their own pace. But one thing’s for sure, we are all trying to find our missing puzzle pieces. Life is neither a race nor a competition, it’s a long journey. You don’t need to run, you don’t need to sprint. You can walk, crawl, or even stop for a moment just to take a break from this cruel world. But you can’t quit, you have to complete your puzzle.
You have to complete your puzzle just to see how beautiful, magnificent, and how wonderful your long-life masterpiece and when it comes, promise me you will be proud of yourself. Proud of yourself that you are not quitting, you are not giving up, you are finally experiencing joy that matches the pain.
And when nobody says congratulation to you, I will be there. I will be there, smiling from ear to ear because you did it.
You won the battle.
